SET UP HOTMAIL ON GMAIL

Until a few months ago, POP3 and SMTP access for Hotmail servers was only available to users and paying subscribers. But finally, they gave access to everyone, allowing access to the Hotmail box (outlook) with any client or email service without having to open the web browser.

In short, we can now receive our emails from the Hotmail mailbox on Gmail.

How to set up Gmail to receive mail from our Hotmail mailbox 
1-Go to your Gmail account. 
2-Click Settings in the upper right corner. 
3-Go to the Accounts tab. 
4-Click Add a POP3 e-mail account that you have in the "Accounts and Import" section. "

5-In the window that opens, enter your e-mail account to receive messages from Hotmail, for example, my-email@hotmail.com then click Next Step. 
6-Fill in the email settings of the Hotmail account with the following values:

Username: my-email@hotmail.com [full MSN address, Windows Live ID or Hotmail with their respective: @ msn.com, @ live.com, @ hotmail.com or @outlook] 
Password: [ Enter the password to access your Hotmail account] 
POP Server: pop3.live.com 
Port: 995

I recommend checking the "Always use SSL connection (secure connection)" option.

Other options available that we must also pay attention to are:

Keep a retrieved copy of the message on the server. 
Apply a label to the messages to recognize the messages that come from the hotmail box. 
Archive received messages (do not go through the inbox). 
7-Click Add Account.

After you click on add the account, gmail will optionally show you the possibility to use Gmail to send emails with the address of the sender your e-mail address hotmail or outlook. you can choose between Yes and No, then next step.

At the end gmail will ask you to choose a name to associate with the address (for the header of your letters)

But do not forget to go to your Hotmail inbox and validate a link sent by gmail to make sure you are the owner of this hotmail account.

From now on any mail received in your Hotmail box will be retrieved, downloaded and transferred to the Gmail inbox.
